No Good Days?

Does the fact that there's no posts here mean that nobody has had a good day? Come on share it if you have it would be nice to brighten things up a bit.

Today i have had a good day because of the House music competition. What really made my day was when Whittington (my house) came 1st, with gresham in 2nd and hale last. (those are our school houses).

Unfortunatley i did not manage to win any prizes because i was against a very strong year above and a harp that won alot of prizes. But i guess it is not about prizes and it was fun and tense at the same time.

after school my whole family got to go out to a restaraunt and the food was really nice, so, as you can tell i have had a good and generally fun day.

Well, that must have taken a lot of bravery to do. Not many people would be able to do something like that on their own, especially in front of a large audience. What song were you singing?

Last year it must of been really embarrising for you when our whole class watched you sing.lol

Well, I was there playing a violin concerto. By the way the underminer was singing chim chimmeny. The audience wasn't actually big at all but i can still understand it must hav taken some guts to sing in fromt of people you dont know.

So, i post no good days and it gets filled up with good days, great so i finally got people to post some.

Got my GCSE results back today, and obtained 2 A's, 8 B's and 2 C's. Due to the C in Science (Chemistry brought my grade down) I can't do Biology or Psychology for A-level, so I chose to do ICT and English Lan/Lit instead, seeing as I got an A & B in ICT, and an A in English Language.

This means that I did get into the college I wanted, and will therefore be staying on for 6th Form, starting Friday 2nd. I guess I got the grades I deserved, and I mainly say that because I left a lot of the revision to the night before the exam... it wasn't at all a good idea.

I don't really get why I can't do either of Biology or Psychology for A-level though, as I got A's and B's in my Biology and Physics exams, yet Chemistry was the one which brought my overall grade for Science down. Chemistry has absolutely nothing to do with Biology or Psychology, so I don't see why I'm being prevented from taking subjects I'm perfectly capable of doing and successing in; it's pretty damn stupid if you ask me.

I did want to take ICT anyway, so I guess it's not that bad that I've had to go for it. It's English that I didn't want to do, and the other subjects were even worse, so I didn't really have much of a choice; it was either go with English, or not go to 6th Form at all. As a result, I am now doing Economics, Technology, English and ICT for A-level. We also get a lot of free periods during some days because of the few subjects you take in Years 12-13, so I may only have one or two subjects on one day, and then I can do whatever the hell I like during my free time (though it's supposed to be for revising).

The uniform for the college is damn expensive though; it was around £65 for the Blazer alone, and then another £25 for two shirts, and the shoes (which I needed a new pair of anyway) were £26.99, along with a tie which I don't have a clue was priced at. So, in total, that's £116.99 (plus the cost of the tie) which is way too overpriced for a school uniform that's only going to be used for 2 years. I must say, though, I do rather like the look of the uniform, and it's certainly very smart!

Congratulations, great results, shame about science though, my Cousin also got his results and he got (I think) 2 A stars, a bunch of A's i think around 5 B's and 1 C, so with mainly A's i think he's done very well, along with you, good luck in College!

When I did them I only had 4 Bs and 5 Cs. Did you have to do more subjects?

Also, I meant to post my A-level results the other week. I got Cs in A2 Psychology and Music and Ds in AS History and English Language. I'm such an average student you see. But it was enough to get me into Gloucestershire University to study Popular Music, so I'm happy about that.
Just in case you don't know, AS is year 12 and A2 is year 13 subjects. I did two of each because I failed As Maths and IT last year but passed AS Psychology and Music.

Well, congratulations on getting through to your University; I'm sure you'll do well for the future.
